Misha's choice of title for this artwork draws upon the rich cultural heritage of the Māori people. "Tahu-nui-ā-Rangi" refers to the Aurora Australis, a breathtaking natural phenomenon visible from southernmost parts of New Zealand.
By incorporating this term, Misha embraces the idea of belonging to a single nation while emphasizing multiple layers of belonging to the universe itself. It speaks to the interconnectedness of all things and the notion of humanity as one global family.
